Hello investors! Welcome to another edition of Money While You Sleep. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer to the fullest. In July we received over $500, which is the first time surpassing this amount in back to back months. I will get to the breakdown shortly.

Here are a few things we have been up to:

  • Maria and I spent a night out for our 11th Anniversary which included a nice dinner, street performers, some drinks and you know ;).
  • Celebrated Grandma’s 98th birthday, I know right!
  • Went to the monster trucks with C, his very first time.
  • Wrapped up our family trip in Mable Lake BC.
  • Several rounds of golf with Maria and some good friends.
11 Year Anniversary
Happy 98th birthday Grandma!
First time seeing monster trucks

2016 – 2022 Dividends

Dividends received were $530.33. This is a year over year increase of 28.5%. We had set out our annual goal of $5,000 for 2022, based on new funds and the amount of increases so far in 2022 we should have no issue achieving this! Chart below shows YTD dividends. Currently 59% to $5,000.

In July we saw the markets start to rise a bit however I don’t think we will be seeing most stocks go back to all-time highs anytime soon. The reality is interest rates are affecting those that carry debt as well as making many reconsider new purchases (homes, cars etc…) and inflation is taking money out of our pockets. This will more than likely affect the markets for quite sometime, in the meantime I belive this is a good time to add to the portfolio especially if you don’t require the investments for several years down the road.

Slowly adding additional fund and getting ready for my next purchase.
